Interior architecture, restoration and renovation (2017 – 2019)
Kellogan Village is located at Ghasran Roodbar region of Tehran Province. Kellogan Villa is a 50-year old villa in this village. In this project, interior design and restoration were carried out. Due to intact and beautiful nature of Kellogan region as well as antiquity and history of the village, attempt was made to use details suitable for this context and background in the interior architecture. Combination of metal and branches of trees in the kitchen cabinet and interior handrails is one of the turning points of this project. Arch forms used in entrances and shelves are for more association of rural architecture. Also, volume formation and interior staircases have followed Iranian old brick and clay volumetric architecture.
Some other ideas used in this villa as well:
- Using the humidity under the foundation and gathering it (drainage) as running water in a pond and returning the overflow of the pond to the ground.
- Using wooden beams for glade roof as an interior architectural element in the main sitting space.
